The Braves were among nine Upper Peninsula teams that joined 31 downstate teams at the all-day event. Gladstone was the only U.P. team to crack the top dozen in the team score, finsihing third with 136 points, behind chamnpion Gaylord (237) and runner-up Kingsley (167).
Two of them won championships: Eli Terrien at 113 pounds and Drew Hansen at 120 pounds. The other two finished as runners-up: Connor Britton at 126 pounds and Austin Solis at 136 pounds.
It was an all-Delta County championship match at 120 pounds as Hansen defeated Escanaba's Cade Krueger on a 15-0 tech fall decision. Krueger was the highest-placed Eskymo, and was one of four Eskymos to reach the podium (top eight) in his weight classes.
Gladstone had a total of six boys reach the podium. Bark River-Harris had three wrestlers reach the podium, while Negaunee had two and Marquette had one.
