Heller Closes Stellar Career With Third Place Finish
AUBURN HILLS, Mich.---Travis Heller finished his career Saturday as the Upper Peninsula's winningest wrestler on Saturday as he won two matches to finish third in Division Two at the MHSAA State Wrestling Finals at the Palace of Auburn Hills.
The Escanaba High School senior pinned Gunner Harrison of Stevensville-Lakeshore in just 35 seconds Saturday morning. And then Heller closed his career by beating Drew Wixson of St. John's, 5-3, to earn the third place spot on the podium.

Heller finished this season with a 44-4 record, and he won 178 matches over his career, the most in Upper Peninsula history.
Heller is also the top Division Two Upper Peninsula wrestler ever, at 160 pounds.
Eskymo teammate Kaleb Rahoi wrestled three times in the 145-pound bracket on Saturday.
He beat Hunter Tucker of North Branch, 10-6, and then lost to Khanner Kaercher of Warren-Lincoln, 11-5. In the fifth place match, Rahoi topped Steven Kymes of Sault Ste. Marie,13-3.
Rahoi finished this season with a 43-7 record.
Gladstone 189-pounder Jake Cronick was pinned by Hunter Dunn of Monroe-Jefferson in 51 seconds. But the Braves senior bounced back to beat Jon Nielsen of Allendale, 5-4.
