AUBURN HILLS---The Bay College women's basketball team lost the first game of its road trip to Lower Michigan on Friday, falling to the Oakland Community College Raiders, 66-37, Friday night in Auburn Hills. The final score was deceptive as the Norse were within eleven points in the fourth quarter before the Raiders scored the final 18 points of the game. In the thrid qiarter, Mannor hit another triple and Holly Wardynski hit from deep, But Mileisha Rodriguez-Rosado scored twice and the Raiders (5-1) opened up a 47-31 lead entering the fourth quarter. Wardynski made another triple and Lauryn Bloniarz scored on the baseline to bring Bay to within 48-37 with seven minutes to play. It was downhill from there. Wardynski led the Norse (4-7) with 15 points, including seven of eight from the foul line. Bloniarz added eight points. Mannor chipped in six points. Oakland CC had eleven different players score. Dugal had 12, while Kaylee Wendel and Olivia Ramsey both added 11. Bay will face Glen Oaks Community College Saturday at noon in Centreville.
