The Division One All-U.P. Boys Tennis team was announced on Tuesday, and the Kingsford Flivvers were well-represented. Kingsford's Adam Szabo and Brady Hicks were honored in singles, their #1 doubles team was honored, as was Coach Mark Shanks. The Escanaba Eskymos edged the Gladstone Braves to win the Great Northern Conference boys golf championship Thursday in Marquette. The Eskymos won with 322 strokes, with Gladstone second at 325 and Marquette third with 329. Marquette won the girls title.

The Gladstone School Board voted Monday night to hire Clayton Castor to be the new varsity basketball head coach in the 2015-16 season. He replaces Dale Hongisto, who resigned on May 5th for family reasons. The school board officially accepted Hongisto's resignation at Monday night's meeting. Castor is a Gladstone High School graduate. He coached the Braves freshman basketball team last season.
