The Michigan High School Athletic Association has decided to move the state baseball and softball semifinals and finals to Michigan State University, effective this upcoming season. In the boys game, Brandon Robinette scored 34 points but it wasn't enough as Negaunee beat Escanaba, 70-67. Tyler Jandron had 25 points and Eric Lori scored 20 for Negaunee. In the girls game, balance was the key as Escanaba beat Negaunee, 54-39. Ashley Cook had 15 points to lead four Esky girls in double figures.
