But the Maroons jumped to a big lead in the first quarter and the Braves committed five turnovers and Menominee cruised to a 47-6 win at the century-old Blesch Field.

The Escanaba High School volleyball team lost 3-0 in Negaunee Tuesday night. The scores were 25-20, 25-14, 25-23. The Eskymos had a 16-11 lead in the final game, but could not hold on. "Poor serving at the end of games really hurt," Eskymo Coach Bron Harmon said.
David Falish scored a touchdown less than two minutes into Saturday's game against Cedar Grove-Belgium, Wis., at the Escanaba Athletic Field.
